Things are not looking good in Ahmedabad ahead of the much-awaited IPL 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings, as it has started raining near the Narendra Modi Stadium. World's biggest stadium in the world is set to host the biggest match of the season, but at the time of writing this article, it is raining heavily in Ahmedabad around 4:30 pm, just three hours before the final.

Several videos are flouting on the internet of the heavy rains and the fans are worried about the start of the final.

Weather Forecast For Narendra Modi Stadium

While the fans are worried, the weather around 7:30 pm is positive as there is no chances of precipitation. The forecast predicts that there is around 36°C around the time of start of the final with 0% chances of rain.

The fans are criticising the BCCI and the IPL governing body for moving the IPL final from Eden Gardens in Kolkata to Narendra Modi Stadium in the revised schedule. It is worth noting that the qualifier two between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians was also delayed for two hours because of a heavy rain.

Talking about the upcoming match, the final also has a reserve day and in case of a heavy downpour, the match will be played on June 4, similar to IPL 2023 which went into a reserve day. However, the news is positive and there are no signs of rain in the evening. Further, the rain has also slowed down. 

Rain Stops At Narendra Modi Stadium

At the time of writing this article, rain has stopped at the Narendra Modi Stadium and the match is most likely to start on time without any delay. The covers are on at the stadium as a precaution, while the groundsmen are at work to make the outfield dry as fast as possible.
