The final thriller for IPL 2025 is all set to go down at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3 and both Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings fans are ready to cheer for their team. However, the Rajat-Patidar-led franchise's fanbase is stepping up the game.
In a recent development, RCB fans were seen performing auspicious rituals to seek divine blessings for their team. Notably, RCB has never won the IPL trophy since its inception in 2008, and this will be the first time in many years that two teams in the finals are trophyless.
RCB Fans Turn to Havan For Maiden IPL Crown
In a viral social media clip circulating online, RCB fans were seen performing havan for the team to win. Fans were seen donning RCB's jersey, with one wearing Kohli's iconic No. 18 jersey, and praying with priests performing the auspicious havan surrounding the havan kund.
This is not a new phenomenon for Indian fans as, ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 finals too, fans took matters into their own hands to perform big rituals with pictures of the Indian cricket team so that they could win the trophy and apparently, it worked.
Earlier, in April, Rajat Patidar himself was also spotted visiting the Tirumala temple alongside RCB Women's Shreyanka Patil and wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma to seek blessings.
While RCB eyes their maiden IPL win, Punjab Kings is also ready to take the battleground. Though Bengaluru's campaign this year has been dominant with only 4 losses off their 14 matches, Punjab Kings had a hiccup during their Qualifier 1 where the former defeated Shreyas Iyer-led team to get to the Finals.
With everything at stake and nothing to lose, both the teams eye victory with both the teams having an equal 18-18 win/loss ratio against each other for the 36 times they appeared.
