One of India's most favourite sons, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, turns 42 today, as fans, former and current players wished the maverick player across social media platforms expressing their joy. Under Dhoni's captaincy India went on to win T20 World Cup, Cricket World Cup and Champions Trophy.

Leading the way is India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who is currently in the West Indies, preparing for two-Test series against the host starting July 12.

Jadeja and Dhoni share an excellent relationship both on-and-off the field, which was evident after the former helped CSK win their fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) title this year, beating Gujarat Titans in a close final.

The 34-year-old took to Twitter and wished Dhoni, who the former called his 'go-to-man' since 2009.

Here's what Jadeja tweeted

"My go to man since 2009 to till date and forever. Wishing you a very happy birthday mahi bhai. See you soon in yellow,"

Jadeja joined CSK back in 2012 and since then has become a vital cog in the team's success, having captained in the 2022 edition, only to leave it midway.

Dhoni recently underwent knee surgery and has been recuperating in his home in Ranchi ever since.
