In a notable update from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), changes have been made to the squads participating in the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024-25 first round. Mohammed Siraj, a key player from Team B, and Umran Malik of Team C have been sidelined due to illness, prompting necessary replacements.

Navdeep Saini has been named as the replacement for Mohammed Siraj, while Gaurav Yadav steps in for Umran Malik. These adjustments aim to ensure competitive balance and maintain the integrity of the tournament as it kicks off on September 5, 2024. The venues for the fixtures include Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, and the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Additionally, there has been speculation surrounding the absence of Ravindra Jadeja from the Team B squad, although the exact reasons have not been disclosed by the cricket board.
