The BCCI on Tuesday (August 27) confirmed a strong 15-member India squad, which will be in action in the Women's T20 World Cup 2024. Harmanpreet Kaur will continue to captain the Women in Blue, while Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain of the side, as expected.

Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma, along with Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Yastika Bhatia, and Pooja Vastrakar are all will be there for India in the UAE, where the tournament was later shifted from Bangladesh due to political unrest.

It is important to note that Yastika Bhatia's participation depends on the fitness subject.

Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, and Renuka Singh Thakur will be India’s fast-bowling options, while Asha Sobhana, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, and Sajana Sajeevan are there as wizards. Dayalan Hemalatha, on the other hand, has been picked as a back-up batter in the main squad.

Similar to Yastika, Shreyanka’s participation is also dependent on fitness clarification.

Among travelling reserves, Uma Chetry, and Tanuja Kanwer and Saima Thakur have been there, while Raghvi Bist and Priya Mishra are two non-travelling reserves.
