The Indian pacer’s estranged wife, Hasin Jahan and her daughter Arshi Jahan are now caught in a legal whirlwind after a nasty land dispute in West Bengal’s Suri town spiralled out of control.

According to Free Press Journal, An FIR has been filed against both with attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and assault charges slapped on them. And, there is a viral video doing the rounds too.
Things took a serious turn when Dalia Khatun, Hasin’s neighbour in Ward Number 5 of Suri, filed a complaint claiming that Mohammed Shami's wife, Hasin and her daughter attacked her over a disputed plot of land. Hasin was allegedly overseeing construction work on the land, which she claims is registered in Arshi’s name. Dalia, however, objected, sparking a heated altercation that quickly turned physical.
A video of the incident has gone viral where Hasin, dressed in a black t-shirt and jeans, can be seen getting into a scuffle with Dalia, who is in a maxi and dupatta. The clip shows bricks being pushed, voices being raised and what looks like a pretty ugly showdown. Dalia alleged she was beaten black and blue by Hasin and her daughter.
FIR Filed Under Multiple Sections
The West Bengal police have confirmed that an FIR has been lodged against both Hasin and Arshi under multiple IPC sections, including attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy. While no arrests have been made yet, an investigation is underway.
The police also said that the land in question is under dispute and Hasin has reportedly not been able to provide clear proof of ownership. If the charges hold up, things could get legally messy very quickly for both mother and daughter.
If the charges in the FIR stick, Hasin Jahan could be facing some serious heat. A video, an injured neighbour, and a land dispute? That’s a storm that could easily turn into a courtroom battle. This new controversy comes hot on the heels of another legal twist in the Shami-Hasin saga. Earlier this month, the Calcutta High Court ruled in favour of Hasin, directing Mohammed Shami to pay ₹4 lakh per month in interim maintenance: ₹1.5 lakh to her and ₹2.5 lakh for their daughter.
The court said the earlier amount ₹50,000 for Hasin and ₹80,000 for the child was too low given the standard of living they had while living with Shami and the cricketer’s current earnings. So while Shami may be dealing with rehab and team selection talk, he now also has a rising maintenance tab to manage.
