Mohammad Asif was one of the brightest links of Pakistan's formidable pace battery during the late 2000. Asif was known for the prowess to swing the ball both ways and was immaculate with his consistent channel. During his active playing days, the 40-year-old menacing spells to trigger a panic attack for the opposition batters.

While his playing days are long over, certain hilarious conversations from that dressing room which Asif was a part of are often revealed in media. During a remote audio call in a talk show on X (formly known as Twitter), Asif recollected a controversial conversation which took place between him and Pakistan's upcoming talent bowler Ihsanullah.

As the two were discussing possible ways to dismiss a batter, Asif recommended Ihsanullah to pitch the ball up for maximum success. Ihsanullah replied by saying that he is not interested in pitching the ball up, rather he wants to go for the kill and aim at the batter's head.

In response, Asif questioned whether that approach will help him yield wickets to which the 20-year-old answered “no”. Asif further questioned him by saying how the heck will the batter get dismissed then?

Mohammed Asif was a very talented prospect to watch out for. The Pakistani pace bowling sensation went on to register 165 international wickets for Pakistan spanning all three formats. Unfortunately, his career was cut short after he along with Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir were found guilty in an infamous match-fixing scandal during the 2010 England test series.

At present, Asif is currently residing in USA and has reportedly participated in various domestic cricketing competitions.

Meanwhile, Ihsanullah - who has played five international matches before making his name in the PSL - is currently struggling with an elbow injury. Earlier this year, the speedster made a sensational record by bowling the fastest ever spell in the PSL's history.
