Mayank Dagar, the slow left-arm orthodox spinner from Himachal has made his debut in IPL for SRH as he has been brought in as an Impact Player by SRH in place of Rahul Tripathi just at the start of the second half of CSK-SRH game.

Mayank Dagar was previously part of Kings XI Punjab (Now Punjab Kings) but could not get a game. He is the nephew of Virender Sehwag and was a big part of India’s U-19 World Cup squad. Dagar has played across formats for Himachal Pradesh with some good success and it remains to be seen how he goes about his business in the IPL.

In the ongoing game between CSK-SRH, MS Dhoni and his boys are in a pole position courtesy of a brilliant bowling performance that has restricted SRH to just 134 in the first innings. CSK spinners were dominant with the ball and SRH would hope that Dagar with his left-arm spin can make similar impact. At the time of writing, CSK are 32-0 at the end of four overs.
