On Wednesday, the ECB released the final list of the players who have registered for The Hundred 2025. 348 overseas players have registered for the English league, with several players from Pakistan entering the race with whopping price tags.

It's worth mentioning that Pakistan's prominent players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan haven't registered for The Hundred 2025 draft. Despite the key players missing out, there are some star cricketers who will be up for grabs. However, there are three prominent names from Pakistan cricket who might go unsold, as mentioned below.

1. Naseem Shah

  • Pakistan's ace speedster Naseem Shah has registered for The Hundred 2025 draft for a reserve price of £120,000. Naseem has been a renowned bowler in white-ball cricket, showcasing his mettle for Pakistan over the years.
  • However, Naseem recently sustained a rough patch in T20I cricket, picking up only 10 wickets in his last eleven matches at a sub-par average and strike rate of 34.70 and 22.20, respectively. His economy of 9.38 suggests he hasn't been able to restrict the flow of runs in the shortest format.
  • Naseem was abysmal in the Champions Trophy as well, managing only two wickets at an average of over 50. So, although he is a reputed player, his current form might lead to his non-selection in The Hundred 2025 draft.

2. Salman Ali Agha

  • Pakistan's experienced middle-order batter Salman Ali Agha was recently appointed the T20I captain of his side. Salman, who replaced Mohammad Rizwan in the role, has been prolific as an all-rounder in ODI cricket.
  • However, Salman hasn't been able to replicate a similar success in the T20I format, scoring only 50 runs and scalping two wickets in six matches. Although he has been a proven performer in the PSL, The Hundred franchises might ignore him for his T20I record.

3. Shaan Masood

  • Pakistan's Test captain Shan Masood registered in The Hundred 2025 draft for a reserve price of £41,500. Known for his technique and temperament, Masood hasn't been a prolific T20 batter.
  • Despite playing 177 T20 innings, Masood averages only 26.65 and has struck at a modest rate of 125.51 in the shortest format. As the tournament involves hundred-ball matches, the teams might not pick Masood, whose timid batting could cost them big in The Hundred 2025.
