Major League Cricket 2023 is set to commence from July 13 as the newly born America based franchise league has announced its schedule for the inaugural edition on Monday, June 12. America's new premier cricket venue, Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas and Church Street Park in Morrisville will host a total of 19 matches between them.

A total of 15 league matches will take place between 13th to 25th of July followed by another four games in an IPL-like playoff format which will conclude with the summit clash being played on July 30.

Six teams will battle out in the first edition of MLC which includes Texas Super Kings, Los Angeles Knight Riders, San Francisco Unicorns, Washington Freedom, MI New York and Seattle Orcas.

Texas Super Kings will take on the Los Angeles Knight Rider, the sister franchises of the two IPL giants in the opening fixture of MLC 2023 at the Grand Prairie Stadium, near Dallas in Texas.

After the initial eight games, the tournament will travel to North Carolina which will host the remaining seven league matches at Church Street Park in Morrisville before coming back to Texas for the playoffs.

The playoffs will include four matches, starting with an Eliminator and a Qualifier on July 27, followed by a Challenger match on July 28 and the final on July 30.

The newly born American franchise league will feature some of the best T20 players in the world. The likes of Australia's T20 World Cup winning captain Aaron Finch, South African speedster Anrich Nortje, Wanindu Hasaranga, Quinton de Kock and many more will take part in the MLC 2023 and will be seen in action alongside some of the strongest domestic talents in the United States.
