The 2nd match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2023 will be played between Salem Spartans and Chepauk Super Gillies on Tuesday, June 13 at SNR College Cricket Ground, Coimbatore.
The Salem Spartans struggled in the previous season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League, ending up at the bottom of the points table with a mere one win out of seven matches. With Kaushik Gandhi leading the team this time, they are determined to turn their fortunes around and strive for a more successful outing in this season.
The Chepauk Super Gillies, on the other hand, had a contrasting season, finishing second in the league table with five wins out of seven matches. Their exceptional performance continued in the playoffs, and they were crowned joint champions of the 2022 edition along with Lyca Kovai Kings, as the final match had to be called off due to rain.
