The stage is set and the wait is almost over as the Australian team will battle for supremacy against the South African team in the all-important World Test Championship (WTC) final from June 11 at the iconic Lord's Stadium. The Aussies are the defending champions and will aim to defend their crown.
Led by Pat Cummins, the team will look to capture their second WTC title and will certainly start as the overwhelming favourites for the game. Ever-since the inception of the WTC concept, the Aussie stars have done well in the competition. In this article we look at Australia's highest run-scorers in the history of this coveted tournament.

Marnus Labuschagne leads the charge as the famous concussion substitute has scored the most runs in the WTC history for the Aussies. The number 3 batter has 4186 runs, at an average of 48.67. His form has dipped in recent years but Labuschagne remains an integral member of the team.
The ever-reliable Steve Smith occupies the 4th spot. He had a dip in form post the 2023 Ashes, but the star batter regained the touched in the BGT 2024-25 and has accumulated 4072 runs with an average touching 50. Once again in the game against the Proteas, Smith will be the key wicket.
Usman Khawaja is third in the list. A dependant opener, Khawaja has been rock solid for the Kangaroos in recent years and was one of the main reasons why they played the WTC final in the 2023 edition.
The X-factor of the Australian side, Travis Head is at the 4th place but his contribution is immense in their success in recent years. He was the centurion in the 2023 WTC final against India and has accumulated 3056 runs in 48 matches.
