The Indian top order collapsed against Pakistan in the first 15 overs on Saturday. Ishan Kishan, who was playing due to KL Rahul's unavailability, played an impressive knock of 82 and helped India reach a respectable total of 266.

KL Rahul, who got injured while playing in the IPL is back after a long break and is said to be fit for the Super 4s leg of the Asia Cup 2023. While announcing the team for the Asia Cup, Ajit Agarkar and Rohit Sharma clarified that Rahul has pulled up a niggle and will not be available for the first two games.

Sanju Samson, who traveled as a reserve player, will now be replaced by KL Rahul as NCA has declared the right-hander fit for the upcoming matches.

As KL Rahul is fit now, the question is whether India will go ahead with Ishan Kishan or Rahul will replace him and will keep the wickets as well.

How crucial KL Rahul is for the Indian team?

Ishan Kishan may have been in the best form, but he is not experienced as much as Rahul is. Even though played a brilliant knock against Pakistan and that too under imense pressure, KL Rahul will bring consistency and experience in the team.

After almost three and a half months, Rahul will be back in the international cricket. Before getting injured, the right-hander smashed a couple of unbeaten half-centuries against Sri Lanka and Australia.

Heading into the Super 4s and the World Cup in the next month, KL Rahul becomes one of the crucial players in the team. Rahul's inclusion into the team at this point of time will be a huge boost for the team. India will be playing the full strength eleven in the next game of the Asia Cup as Jasprit Bumrah will also be back by then.
