India's two prolific middle-order batters, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul have shared their intense practice session photos for the fans ahead of India' first match in the Super 4 stage vs Pakistan.

After a rain-washed group stage encounter, the two teams will once again square off against each other in Colombo on September 10.

Team India have a 5-day long break and in between all of these, one important member of this squad KL Rahul flew down to Sri Lanka post his injury rehabilitation. After clearing the fitness test, KL Rahul had an intense indoor practice session, and apart from the keeper-batter, the session was attended by Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav to name a few.

They were seen having long batting sessions where they faced local net bowlers as well. Other than that, the regular fitness drills were performed. Sharing these images, KL expressed his happiness in blues.

Meanwhile Shreyas Iyer, who recently made his comeback, after a long injury lay-off was quoted, saying:

"Giving my all to my craft."

Shreyas started off brilliantly against Pakistan but got out in a bizarre manner and against Nepal he didn't have to bat. Now, with KL being available and Ishan invincibly, Iyer may have to sit out of the playing XI.

It will be interesting to see what changes Rohit make in the XI. Jasprit Bumrah will come automatically, then one of the bowlers have to sit out. On the other hand, they may look to have Ishan for sure, after his stellar knock against Pakistan.
