The day is finally here as defending champions KKR are all set to take on RCB in the first match of IPL 2025 at the Eden Gardens. The fans have gathered at the stadium, the cricket pundits are ready, and the teams too have arrived at the venue for the mouth-watering clash.

However, ahead of the start of the 18th edition of the cash-studded league, it has landed in hot waters as a section of fans are targeting the BCCI and accusing the IPL of match-fixing. Notably, the incident occurred during pre-match show where Anant Tyagi, the match presenter, was present on the ground alongside several cricket pundits. 

When the group was on-air, the graphic card displayed the toss result and showed that KKR have won the toss and elected to bat first. The graphic was removed from the screen two seconds after the error. However, the fans noticed it and it angered them and they accused the BCCI of acting against RCB and knowing the toss result before the toss time. 


But did BCCI plan any foulplay against RCB and favour KKR? Here is the fact-check.

Well, for the unversed, it is quite a regular practice in cricket, where the broadcasters and the graphics team test their graphics by feeding a few random results to check whether everything is under check or not. It is done to not face humiliating during live-match. 

It is not the first-match where the graphic team have feed random results, it is done before every match. However, one mistake that happened from their side was to telecast their testing on-screen, which created the confusion.
