England will be playing their third game of the four-T20I series against Pakistan in Cardiff on Tuesday, May 28. However, England will be missing the services of their captain, Jos Buttler due to the birth of his third child.

Buttler went back to London after the 23-run win over Pakistan on May 25 - as he and his partner Louise Webber are expecting their third child. Their first daughter, Georgia Rose was born in 2019, followed by Margot in 2021.

With Jos Buttler out on paternity leave, vice-captain Moeen Ali will be taking charge of England at the Sophia Gardens in Wales. It is still unknown whether the English captain will be re-joining the squad for the fourth T20I at the Oval on May 30.

Following the called-off first T20I at Leeds on the 22nd, Buttler delivered a player of the match performance at Edgbaston, scoring 84 (51). Ali, on the other hand, scored 4 (7) and opened the bowling and ended with the figures of 2/26.

With Buttler missing the next T20I, it ensures that the Englishman will be with the team on June 4 for their T20 World Cup opener against Scotland in Barbados. He was initially expecting the baby sometime in June.
