ICC imposed heavy fines on West Indies duo Jayden Seales and Kevin Sinclair over their unnecessarily hostility towards Bangladesh players in the 2nd Test. With a 101 runs victory in the second Test, Bangladesh levelled the two-game series 1-1.

Bangladesh and West Indies competed in the 2nd Test at Sabina Park in Jamaica. Despite a first inning collapse on 164, the visitors bounced back with 268 in the third inning. West Indies, meanwhile, mustered only 146 and 185 in two innings to suffer a 101 runs loss.

That being said, West Indies' woes only increased after the defeat as Jayden Seales and Kevin Sinclair were charged by ICC over breach of the players' code of conduct.

West Indies duo faces heat from ICC

Jayden Seales, who scripted history with the most economical spell, was accused of making inappropriate gestures towards the Bangladesh cricket team's dressing room after taking a wicket.

This behaviour violated the ICC Code of Conduct under the clause regarding "conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game." Besides the monetary fine, Seales was also docked a demerit point to his disciplinary record.

On the other hand, Kevin Sinclair received a 15% fine for repeatedly using aggressive language toward Bangladeshi players, ignoring warnings from on-field umpires. His actions breached the clause concerning "disobeying an Umpire's instruction during an International Match."

Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referee Jeff Crowe raised the issue, and both players accepted the charges imposed, leading to swift resolution as they avoided a formal hearing.

WTC standings unaffected by Bangladesh-West Indies series

Bangladesh secured a historic 101-run victory over the West Indies in the second Test at Jamaica, levelling the 2-game series 1-1. This was Bangladesh's first Test victory in the West Indies since 2009. Though they played with a lot of heart, the win hardly affected the WTC table with both teams remaining in the lower ranks.

Bangladesh sits in 8th place with 4 wins in 12 matches and a win percentage of 31.25%. Meanwhile, West Indies remain in last place with 2 wins from 11 games and a win percentage of 24.24%.
