On Sunday, August 11, Sri Lanka left the Island Nation for England where they will play three Test matches starting from August 21.

The pictures of the team's departure were circulated online on Twitter and other social media handles.

The series was marred with controversy ahead of its start, as the players raised security concerns because of the ongoing anti-immigrant riots in England.

Notably, a few Sri Lanka players, who are a part of the squad for the upcoming series, were already in the UK and they expressed their concern over the players' security because of the ongoing riots.

There were even doubts about whether the tour would go ahead as planned or some changes would be made. However, looking at the recent images, it is safe to say that the tour will proceed as planned.

The first Test will take place at Old Trafford, Manchester from August 21-25.
