In a significant development, Jasprit Bumrah is likely to miss the upcoming ODI series against England. His name has been notably absent from the squad list shared by the BCCI in a recent tweet on February 4. This omission has sparked speculation among fans and cricket followers, hinting at the speedster's potential exclusion. 

Bumrah’s Injury Concerns Continue 

The Indian's star pacer has been sidelined since the last Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) after he faced persistent back injury. However, it is important to mention that Bumrah has been named in India’s squad for the Champions Trophy. 

But talking about his likely exclusion from the England ODI's, it can be said that it could be a precautionary move by BCCI to keep him fresh for the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. Given the pacer’s history of injuries, resting him now could be a strategic step to ensure his availability for the marquee tournament.  

Despite limited match practice in the past, Jasprit Bumrah has, time and again, turned the game on its head with his brilliance with the ball. However, for his magic to unfold for the 'Men in Blue', his fitness remains the key for now and it would not be wrong to say that currently, he is not at his best. 

The Indian team management and BCCI will leave no stone unturned in getting him ready for the big tournament.
