Sensational young guns of Indian cricket, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube, are set to be included in BCCI's central contracts ahead of the T20 World Cup after a remarkable show against Afghanistan in the ongoing three-game T20I series.

Yashashvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube wreaked havoc amongst the Afghanistan bowling unit during the second T20 international in Indore. The duo unleashed carnage to chase the target of 173 runs inside 16 overs.

Moreover, a BCCI source recently spoke with TOI and claimed that the selection committee and cricket board are extremely delighted to see Jaiswal and Dube's growth at the highest level.

Moreover, the source suggested the budding talent could soon reap the rewards of their hard work. Jaiswal and Dube could land central contracts with the BCCI sooner rather than later. A central contract will place them on a priority list with respect to team selection.

The central contracts news comes at a crucial juncture in Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube's careers. With the T20 World Cup 2024 just around the corner, the contracts would change the face of the duo's career.

Speaking of the T20 World Cup, the source told TOI that the BCCI has specific expectations from Dube. They see him as an ideal backup for an injury-prone Hardik Pandya.

But to gain an edge over him, Dube must work on his bowling. He has been asked to bowl more and prove his worth as a designated all-rounder.

However, as far as Jaiswal is concerned, the board is happy with his performance so far. The youngster already has a century and a fifty to his name in four Test games and the recent knock of 68 runs off 34 deliveries, which will only add to his candidature for a BCCI central contract.

Thus, in the coming few weeks, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube could be seen as India's regular players across the white-ball format.
