Rajasthan Royals trio reaches USA for T20 WC 2024

Rajasthan Royals trio Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Avesh Khan have arrived in the USA to join the rest of their national teammates for the impending T20 World Cup 2024.

Chahal confirmed his arrival in New York on May 27 by sharing his picture on social media. In the caption, the cricketer wrote:

“National duty ON”

On May 26, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and nine other players landed in New York to set up their training base for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

The players, including Sharma's Mumbai Indians colleagues Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah and CSK's Ravindra Jadeja, among others, took flight from Mumbai to Dubai before arriving in the United States.

Players like Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, and Sanju Samson are expected to join the rest of the Indian troops in New York within the next few days. Interestingly, Pandya is currently in the United Kingdom for personal reasons, while Kohli has asked for a cool-off period from the BCCI.

The Indian team is scheduled to face Bangladesh in their lone warm-up game at New York's Nassau County International Stadium on June 1.

A few days later, on June 5 to be precise, the 'Men in Blue' will commence their T20 World Cup campaign at the same venue with a Group-A match against Ireland. The venue will also host India's high-stakes Group A clash against perennial arch-rivals Pakistan.
