Virat Kohli, one of India’s most celebrated cricketers, has been relatively quiet on social media for quite some time. Known for his vocal and candid presence on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) earlier in his career, Kohli used to post anything from vacation vlogs to casual life updates.

Back then, he interacted with fans on festivals, shared personal anecdotes, and even posted training clips. However, as he ascended to the role of captain of the Indian cricket team, his online presence became more reserved, primarily focused on sponsorship content.

This shift led fans to yearn for the more approachable Virat Kohli they once followed.

On the eve of India's first Test against Bangladesh, Kohli surprised his followers with a series of cryptic tweets. The first tweet simply said "kindness." Shortly after, he posted two more one-word tweets: "chivalry" and "respect." These posts, devoid of any promotional links or captions, sparked immediate curiosity among fans.

Twitter's Explosive Reactions

With Kohli known to rarely tweet outside of advertisements, the unexpected posts sent his fans into a frenzy. Some speculated his account had been hacked, while others jokingly commented on how people now mistake his genuine posts for advertisements due to his past habits. One fan quipped, “Bro is so deep into ads that people think his normal tweets are an ad!”

The social media platform quickly lit up with wild theories and reactions to Kohli’s sudden activity. Fans debated the meaning behind his posts, with many interpreting them as signs of an upcoming announcement or a personal revelation.

Virat Kohli Returns To Test Cricket

The timing of these tweets only added to the intrigue, as Kohli is set to return to Test cricket in a home series against Bangladesh after 8 months, following his last appearance against South Africa.

He had missed the five-Test series against England at home due to personal reasons. The first match, scheduled for September 19 at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, marks Kohli’s first Test appearance at home in 18 months.
