Talented Indian top-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues believes that the Women's IPL will have the same revolutionary effect as the Women's Hundred ball competition has had in England.

Rodrigues, 21, is representing the Northern Superchargers in the ongoing season of the  Hundred.

According to media reports, the BCCI have earmarked March 2023 as the window for the inaugural Women’s IPL, and Rodrigues can't wait to feature in it.

Speaking to news agency PA, the 21-year-old remarked:

"The WIPL is looking like it’s going to happen for sure this time, and we’re really, really looking forward to it,”

While the Men's Hundred continues to remain a polarizing debate in the cricket ecosystem, there seems to be a clear consensus on the fact that the women's edition is good for the overall development of the game and its players.
