Experienced Indian batter Karun Nair has been sensational in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. The stylish right-handed batter has showcased remarkable form in the tournament, piling up truckloads of runs for Vidarbha. He struck another belligerent knock in the ongoing encounter against Maharashtra, powering Vidarbha to a whopping total of 380 runs.

Maharashtra captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and invited Vidarbha to bat first. However, his decision proved to be a nightmare for his side, with Dhruv Shorey and Yash Rathod stitching a whopping opening stand of 224 runs.

Skipper Karun Nair entered the middle as Vidarbha's number-three batter and extended his dream run in the tournament. He smashed nine boundaries and five sixes, scoring 88 runs off 44 balls at a blistering strike rate of 200. His valiant knock propelled Vidarbha to 380, helping them set a daunting target for their opponents.

Karun Nair's IPL 2025 Team And Price

Interestingly, Karun Nair was purchased by Delhi Capitals in the mega auction last year. The batter, who used to be Karnataka's mainstay, managed to bag a lucrative IPL 2025 deal worth INR 50 lakhs in the mega auction.

Apart from the Capitals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru showed interest in the former Test batter. However, Delhi Capitals secured his services, and he will represent them in the upcoming edition.

It's worth mentioning that Nair has already represented the Capitals in the past. He has also played for Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Although he didn't seem a certain starter in DC's first-choice playing XI, his recent form might prompt the franchise to give him an opportunity in the tournament.
