IRE vs NZ 1st ODI | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI & CREX XI

New Zealand's European tour will now continue with six white-ball matches in Ireland. 

After suffering a harsh 0-3 defeat in England Tests, the Kiwi team devoid of Kane Williamson will be playing three ODIs followed by as many T20Is across Ireland's Dublin and Belfast. The first game of the ODI series will be played in Dublin on July 10 (Sunday).   

The ODI leg, which forms New Zealand's first set of ODIs in over three months, will be a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In the absence of their regular skipper Williamson, the visitors will be marshalled by wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Latham. 

New Zealand clean-swept the Netherlands the last time they took part in an ODI series. 

On the other hand, the Irishmen defeated West Indies in January on their trip to the Caribbean. Despite losing the first tour match in Jamaica, the visitors pipped the hosts in the next two games to claim the series by a 2-1 margin.

The conditions in Dublin have been conducive to batters. 

Ireland played an ODI at the venue more than a year ago when they hosted South Africa in a three-match series. 

While one game was washed out, teams batting first in the other two matches slammed scores of 290 and 346 upfront. Even the recent T20I series against India at the venue was a high-scoring one. 

Considering the results of the two ODIs played at the ground last year, the captain winning the toss will be looking to bat first.
