TNPL 2022 | NRK vs ITT | Preview, Prediction, Probable XI & CREX XI

The Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2022 juggernaut rolls on as the 14th match of the tournament sees the table-topper Nellai Royal Kings locking horns with IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans. 

The enthralling T20 clash will take place at SNR College Cricket Ground, Coimbatore, on Sunday (June 10). 

Nellai Royal Kings have been the team to beat this year, emerging triumphant in all the four appearances they have made so far in the tournament. Heading into their next fixture, they will be looking to extend their four-match winning streak. 

In their last encounter, Nellai Royal Kings defeated Siechem Madurai panthers comprehensively by 26 runs, which indicates their red hot current form.

Exhibiting a destructive batting display, NRK posted 209 runs in the first inning, courtesy of an unbeaten 70-run knock from Sanjay Yadav and a quick 27-ball-47 from Sri Neranjan. Madurai Panthers, in reply, failed to complete the chase in the allotted 20 overs.  

On the other hand, Tiruppur Tamizhans had a great start, pummeling Ruby Trichy Warriors by four wickets in their opening game. 

However, they failed to sustain their momentum as Dindigul Dragons handed them an embarrassing nine-wicket defeat. 

After putting to bat first, the Tamizhans could manage only 145 runs off 20 overs, which Dindigul chased down in 18.1 overs. With two points in their kitty, the Tamizhans are currently positioned sixth in the TNPL 2022 points table.

Sanjay Yadav: The Mumbai Indians' recent recruit has continued his majestic form in TNPL, registering 212 runs in 4 innings at a remarkable strike rate of 194.50. His blistering 47-ball-87 helped the Kings post a challenging total of 184 against the defending champions, Chepauk Super Gillies.  

NS Harish: The 24-year-old left-arm spinner has led the bowling attack of NRK and has been pretty impressive. 

He leads the wicket-takers chart for his side with six wickets from three innings. 

IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans 

Tushar Raheja: He has been the standout performer for ITT in both the games they have played so far. Raheja has scored 62 runs in 2 innings, with an unbeaten 42 (off 26 balls) being his highest.  

M Mohammed: The former skipper of ITT has been quite impactful in the two matches he played, smashing 56 runs in 2 innings at a strike rate of 169.70. He has also got two wickets to his name.
