With barely three weeks left for the IPL 2024 auctions, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have announced their list of retentions and releases. Contrary to the earlier claims, the franchise retained their regular skipper KL Rahul, who will continue to lead the team in next year’s IPL 2024 season.

Lucknow Super Giants Released Players

Domestic stalwart Jaydev Unadkat along with Karan Sharma, Manan Vohra and overseas star Daniel Sams have been released by the LSG franchise from their composition. Unadkat, who joined the KL Rahul-led side earlier this year, failed to leave a mark as he found himself in the playing XI only thrice throughout the entire tournament.

Apart from the veteran speedster, seven other cricketers have been released from the LSG’s expanded squad. Here is a look at the entire list of LSG releases from IPL 2024 season:

Jaydev Unadkat, Manan Vohra, Swapnil Singh, Daniel Sams, Karan Sharma, Arpit Guleria, Suryansh Shedge and Karun Nair.


Lucknow Super Giants Retained Players

LSG veteran and charismatic leader KL Rahul became the first to be retained by the franchise on IPL 2024 retention day. Fellow LSG zealots Krunal Pandya, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Hooda among others were also retained by the team management. Devdutt Padikkal, however, was traded in to the team from Rajasthan Royals during the IPL 2024 trading window. Here is a look at all 18 players retained by the LSG for IPL 2024:

KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock, Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, Kyle Mayers, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Devdutt Padikkal, Ravi Bishnoi, Naveen Ul Haq, Krunal Pandya, Yudhvir Singh, Prerak Mankad, Yash Thakur, Amit Mishra, Mark Wood, Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan.


Lucknow Super Giants Purse Remaining/Slots available

The LSG franchise will have an available purse of Rs.3.55 crore when they head towards the IPL Auctions 2024 in Dubai next month.
