Suryakumar Yadav and his fellow Indian teammates recently assembled for a fun photo session ahead of team’s much-awaited second T20I match against Australia in Thiruvananthapuram. Earlier this week, the ‘Men in Blue’ players arrived to the city for the high-profile showdown after defeating Australia in a last-over thriller at Vishakhapatnam.

Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Ishan Kishan, India’s stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav among several others were spotted having fun at a recent headshot session in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Indian team is currently hosting Australia for a five-match T20I series. The matches mark their first set of international fixtures since the conclusion of the 2023 World Cup at home last week.

Suryakumar Yadav, who was also a part of India’s World Cup 2023 squad, was tasked to lead the team against Australia after several senior members like captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli opted themselves out of the selection reckoning.

Under Suryakumar’s leadership, the hosts defeated Australia with two wickets and a ball to spare in Vishakhapatnam to go 1-0 up in the five-match series. In pursuit of 209 runs for a win, the captain himself unleashed a run-chase masterclass through his 42-ball 80, while fellow World Cup 2023 member Ishan Kishan also scored an attacking 58 before Rinku Singh’s finishing act sealed the deal for the Indian team.

The second T20I between the two sides will be played on Sunday, November 26 at the iconic Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
