The 2025 IPL mega auction is going in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the first half saw intense bidding wars for some of the cricketing stars, with results in massive buys and surprising twists.

Mohammed Shami, another prominent pacer, was the first pick in Round 2, with Sunrisers Hyderabad securing him for ₹10 crore. David Miller, who was part of the Gujarat Titans in previous seasons, found a new home at Lucknow Super Giants for ₹7.5 crore.
The team owners will now have to be strategic about their remaining bids to ensure they fill the necessary gaps while staying within their budgets. There are still plenty of big names on the board, and the final round of bidding is expected to be just as dramatic, with each franchise looking to finalise their squads.
