IPL 2022 | Hardik is your guy when it comes to leading India in white ball cricket, says India cricketer

Hardik Pandya has impressed all, including Manoj Tiwary since he became the Gujarat Titans (GT) captain in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The last match against Rajasthan Royals saw a Hardik special as the skipper led from the front and scored a match-winning knock of 87 runs.

Hardik is currently the second leading run-scorer in the tournament, with 228 runs to his name. Adding to his potent batting, the 28-year-old has shown a new skill this season and is playing the captain's role to perfection.

With the captaincy debate in Indian cricket running hot, Hardik has thrown his hat in the ring, faring brilliantly for the Titans for the same in the ongoing edition of the IPL.

Manoj Tiwary made his thoughts known and reckoned that the all-rounder could be India's future white-ball captain. The cricketer-turned politician looked impressed with Hardik's leadership skills and labelled him an ideal man to lead the national side.

"If ever there is a debate on who is going to replace or in competition for Captaining team India 🇮🇳 in shorter format, then it has to be @hardikpandya7. Yes, whatever little I have seen of him in this #IPL as far his leadership skill is concerned, I'm damn impressed with it #RRvGT," Tiwary wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans are sitting on top of the points table with five wins in four games. This Sunday, they will face the defending champions Chennai Super Kings on April 17 at the MCA Stadium.
