The Pakistan cricket fraternity is no stranger to controversy, and the latest episode involves the Chief Selector of the national cricket team, Inzamam-ul-Haq, who is facing scrutiny for his ownership in 'Yazo International Limited,' a company controlled by Pakistan players agent Talha Rehmani.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is now facing concerns over potential conflicts of interest, especially considering Talha Rehmani's role as the representative for some of Pakistan's top cricketers, like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Inzamam-ul-Haq's dual role as Chief Selector and a shareholder in a company that represents some big names from Pakistan cricket has raised concerns about the potential impact of this arrangement on player selections in the national cricket team.

Meanwhile, Zaka Ashraf, the head of the PCB, has raised the possibility of an investigation into Inzamam's connection with the players' agent's company, acknowledging concerns about potential conflicts of interest in the national team's selection process.

Here’s what Zaka Ashraf said during an interview

“It certainly appears to be a conflict of interest. We will summon the chief selector and request an explanation regarding the accuracy of this news. It seems that if Talha influences seven to eight players, he may also play a role in player selections. We will seek clarification from the chief selector.”

At the epicentre of the controversy, Talha Rehmani, the players' agent, reportedly manages a cadre of cricketers with international experience representing Pakistan. This has fueled speculation regarding the extent of his influence on the national team's player selection process.
