'We weren't good enough to fight back' - Babar Azam on series whitewash

England humiliated Pakistan, handing them their first-ever Test series white-wash at home, winning the third and final match at Karachi in an emphatic manner today.

With this loss, Babar Azam became the first Pakistani skipper to lose four consecutive Tests at home; former skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq lost three back-to-back matches during his tenure.

Pakistan under Azam looked out of ideas and were mostly put under attack across all three Tests. The 28-year-old has won just one Test in 2022, having captained in eight matches.

Speaking during the post-match presentation, Azam accepted that the team could not fight back, but they still have a lot of positives from this.

However, for many, only Abrar Ahmed and Saud Shakeel were the positives for Pakistan in this disastrous series.

Here's what he said

"Definitely disappointment as a team, we are not good enough to fight back. First innings, we lost back to back wickets, good in batches, but that moment cost us. Bowling, definitely, your best pacer is not fit so that cost us. A lot of positive things in this series, but also things that we lack."

Pakistan's next Test assignment will be against a visiting New Zealand side under Tim Southee, with the first match starting on December 26.
