In a match where Rishabh Pant showed his old, brilliant form and led his team to their first win this season, he ended up with a 12-lakh fine for not keeping up with the  IPL's code of conduct relating to slow over-rate.

When CSK played outside of Chepauk for the first time this season, they faced their first defeat as well. Rishabh Pant's Delhi Capitals managed to defeat CSK at Vizag, which is DC's second home this season.

However, Delhi Capitals fell behind in completing their overs on time, leading to captain Pant being fined for the offense. It was the first time his team had committed this offense this season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct regarding minimum over-rate offense.

Prithvi Shaw and David Warner started Delhi off with a powerful opening partnership. However, Pathirana's incredible catch ended Warner's innings. After Shaw got out, DC found themselves in a tough spot, similar to their previous middle-order collapses.

But captain Rishabh Pant stepped up, scoring his first fifty since returning from his accident. His innings helped Delhi set a competitive total and avoid another collapse.

MSD show at Vizag

DC began their bowling innings strongly, with Khaleel Ahmed delivering an impressive opening spell. Despite Mitchell's and Rahane's efforts, CSK never seemed to be in contention. However, towards the end, CSK fans left the stadium satisfied as MS Dhoni, batting at number 8, provided them with an entertaining display. Dhoni smashed 37 runs from just 16 balls, treating the fans to some thrilling cricket.

It was one of those games where both the winning and losing sides went home happily.
