India's KL Rahul is sidelined for the Vizag Test against England due to a right quadriceps issue. Alongside Ravindra Jadeja, he's out of the second Test starting February 2, 2024. The BCCI Medical Team is overseeing their recovery. To bolster the squad, the Men's Selection Committee has included Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar.

Rahul's absence marks a significant blow for India, as his batting prowess was instrumental in their commanding position during the first Test against England in Hyderabad, where India posted a formidable total of 421 for seven. Despite Rahul's contributions, India ultimately succumbed to defeat in that match.

As the team prepares for the Vizag Test, they will need to adapt to the absence of key players like Rahul, while the newcomers will have an opportunity to step up and make their mark on the international stage.

India's updated Squad for 2nd Test vs England:

Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shreyas Iyer, KS Bharat (WK), Dhruv Jurel (WK), Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Avesh Khan, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Washington Sundar, Sourabh Kumar.
