India’s rising superstar, Trisha Gongadi has been named a nominee for ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for January. She amassed 309 runs to become the leading run-scorer of ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 with India emerging victorious in what turned out to be a dominant campaign.

The ICC Women’s Player of the Month for January 2025 features three exceptional cricketers who delivered stunning performances across different formats.

West Indies bowler Karishma Ramharack made headlines with her remarkable bowling display during the ODI series against Bangladesh. Her back-to-back four-wicket-hauls sealed a 2-1 series win for the West Indies, earning her Player of the Match and Player of the Series honours. 

Trisha Gongadi in race to win ICC Player Of The Month

India’s emerging superstar Trisha Gongadi has also made the cut after she emerged as a breakout star at the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup in Malaysia. 

Her aggressive batting as an opener propelled India to a magnificent title victory. Gongadi etched her name in history by scoring the tournament’s first century, a blistering 110* off just 59 balls against Scotland. 

She scored 309 runs at an average of 77.25 and a strike rate of 147.14.  Along with that, she also demonstrated all-round excellence by taking four wickets at an economy of 3.75. She also fetched the Player of The Match and Player of The Series award to mark the end of a historic campaign.

Lastly, veteran Beth Mooney has been the third nominee in this list. She demonstrated her class during the T20 series against England. She scored 213 runs in three matches and a sublime 94* as Australia swept the series 3-0. 

Mooney's brilliance was not only with the bat as she chipped in behind the stumps with three catches and a stumping. She averaged 106.50 with a stunning strike rate of 146.89 in T20Is and added 90 runs across ODIs to cap off a spectacular month.
