The Indian Navy vessel INS Sumitra rescued Pakistan’s fishing vessel Al Naeemi as well as its 19 crew members from a group of 11 Somalia pirates. The Indian warship responded to a distress call and completed the rescue off the east coast of Somalia.

The Indian Navy also released an official statement alongside a picture of the captured Somalian pirates in the early hours of January 30.

As it turned out, netizens were quick to spot RCB jersey on one of the restrained pirates, thus underscoring the widespread allure of the Indian Premier League (IPL) even in unexpected circumstances.

The RCB franchise, meanwhile, is gearing up for the forthcoming IPL 2024 season. Back in November 2023, the RCB management made a number of retentions in the form of senior pros Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, captain Faf du Plessis, Mohammed Siraj, Dinesh Karthik and traded in Cameron Green from Mumbai Indians.

On December 19, the franchise made further additions to their composition during the IPL 2024 auction ceremony in the UAE. With IPL 2024 poised to commence sometime in late March this year.
