The Indian team has reached the Super 4s of the Asia Cup 2023 by defeating Nepal last night in a rain-affected game. On the other hand, Pakistan was the first team to reach the Super 4 stage of the tournament.

It is still not clear which would be the fourth team to qualify, as today's game between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will determine that. India will face Pakistan on the coming Sunday, the 10th of September in the Super 4s.

Both the games of the Indian team were affected by rain. In the clash against Pakistan, the rain did not even allow the second innings. While, in the match against Nepal, the second innings was reduced to just 23 overs.

The huge face-off between India and Pakistan in the Super 4s will be taking place in Colombo, Sri Lanka. And, the rain might affect the upcoming INDO-PAK game as well. Thus, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has decided to have a reserve day for this particular encounter. The 11th of September will be reserved for India vs Pakistan, as we all want to witness this fortress of a game.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka are co-hosting the ongoing Asia Cup due to India's geopolitical relationship with the former country. Nevertheless, after the Lanka-Afghan, the first Super-4 match will be played in Lahore before all the teams move to Sri Lanka for the remaining games.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Sri Lanka's Super-4 fixtures might get shifted from Colombo to Hambantota. However, the ACC is yet to make an official announcement.
