After a masterful innings from the stalwart Ajinkya Rahane where he struck the fastest half-century on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) debut against Mumbai Indians (MI) at his home ground Wankhede, the visitors have called in an impact player. The Yellow Army have subbed in batter Ambati Rayudu in place of injured Deepak Chahar.

Chahar pulled his hamstring earlier in the game and didn't come out to bowl later which was a major concern for the side as they had many overs left to bowl and runs flowing from both ends.

However, they did a commendable job with the ball restricting the MI side to just 157 in their 20 overs.

Rayudu played a handy 20 run knock for the CSK in just 16 balls where he played the finishing shot, helping his side with the victory in 18.1 overs.

Chahar was only able to bowl one over in the game with 10 runs. However, CSK were boosted by the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and Mitchell Santner along with other bowlers ensured that his presence wasn't missed.

In the end, CSK won convincingly with seven wickets remaining.
