The legend of MS Dhoni is back again on the field in 2023 as he made another masterful decision behind the stumps against Mumbai Indians. The wicket-keeper batter known for his tactical mindset and on-target reviews have done wonder again on the field.

The Ranchi-born during the eighth over of the first innings which was being bowled by left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner reviewed a wide decision straightaway against Suryakumar Yadav. The ball was down the leg and it was called wide by the umpire.

Dhoni appealed but to no resort so he immediately made the gesture for a review and sent it upstairs. The replays when arrived confirmed that the ball touched the gloves on the way to Dhoni and what could be heard next was a huge loud roar from the crowd.

Surya walked back for just 1 after facing 2 deliveries as MI went into trouble with score being 67 for 3.

MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to field first at Wankhede with Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali out due to being unwell.

At the time of writing the score, MI were 135 for 8 after the end of 18 overs.
