ICC World Cup 2023 | New Zealand Full Squad, Schedule, Date & Time, Live Streaming

On Tuesday, June 27, the International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the much-awaited schedule for the 2023 Men's Cricket World Cup, set to be held in India. The tournament will kick off on October 5, featuring a thrilling match between England and New Zealand at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

New Zealand, the runners-up of the previous World Cup, will play their nine group-stage matches from October 5 to November 9 across six different venues.

Their campaign will begin with a match against defending champions England in Ahmedabad. Subsequently, they will travel to Hyderabad to face Qualifier 1, followed by games against Asian Giants- Bangladesh and Afghanistan in Chennai. On October 22, they will take on India in Dharamshala before facing their trans-Tasman rivals Australia on October 28 at the same venue.

On November 1, the BlackCaps will clash with South Africa in Pune and conclude their league stage with two more games in Bengaluru against Pakistan and the second qualifying team.

Ten teams will participate in the tournament, with the first eight already qualifying through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The remaining two spots will be decided after the CWC Qualifier in Zimbabwe on July 9. 

The matches will be held across ten venues- Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamshala and Kolkata. Additionally, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram, along with Hyderabad, will host the warm-up matches from September 29 to October 3.

In the group stage, each team will play against the other nine in a round-robin format, and the top four teams will advance to the knockout stage and semi-finals. The group stages will conclude on November 12, with Australia facing Bangladesh in Pune.

The semi-final matches are scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Mumbai and Kolkata, respectively, while the tournament's final will take place on November 19 in Ahmedabad, concluding the mega-event.
