The countdown to the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 has officially begun, and cricket fans now have the chance to book their seats. The tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from September 30 to November 2, 2025, with matches taking place across five cities.
Ticket Sales: Pre-Sale and General Sale
The ICC has opened ticket sales in two phases. The first phase is an exclusive pre-sale window for Google Pay users, which began on Thursday at 7 PM IST. During this four-day period, fans can grab tickets starting at just ₹100 for group stage matches. Tickets can be booked directly at Tickets.cricketworldcup.com.
This early-access deal is part of ICC’s newly announced global partnership with Google, designed to boost fan engagement in women’s cricket. After the pre-sale ends, tickets will go on general sale for everyone starting Tuesday, September 9, at 8 PM IST, again through the same official website.
The tournament will open in style with a grand ceremony in Guwahati on September 30, featuring a live performance by renowned Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal. The opening match, scheduled right after the ceremony, will see India take on Sri Lanka.
In a landmark announcement, the ICC revealed that the total prize money for the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup will be a whopping USD 13.88 million. This amount is nearly four times higher than the prize pool from the previous edition held in 2022 in New Zealand, which offered USD 3.5 million.
Even more strikingly, this figure surpasses the prize money of the Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, which was USD 10 million.
