ICC Unveils Commentary Team For Women’s T20 World Cup, Anjum Chopra And Mithali Raj Included

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled a star-studded commentary panel for the upcoming 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE. The apex body also ensured that the tournament will receive a comprehensive broadcast coverage.

Additionally, the ICC confirmed that the ICC TV will be offering exclusive off-field content during the T20 World Cup like individual player profiles, venue insights, match previews as well as behind-the-scenes features to engage with the fans.

ICC unveils commentary panel for T20 WC 2024

On October 2, i.e., a couple of days prior to the launch of the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup in the UAE, the ICC announced a list of their commentary panel for the tournament. World Cup winners like Mel Jones, Lisa Sthalekar, Stacy Ann King, Lydia Greenway and Carlos Brathwaite will be joined by fellow cricketers Katey Martin, WV Raman and Sana Mir.

Former players Anjum Chopra and Mithali Raj are some of the prominent Indians in the panel who will be providing their expert insights throughout the competition.

Broadcasting veterans like Ian Bishop, Kass Naidoo, Nasser Hussain, Natalie Germanos, Alison Mitchell, Mpumelelo Mbangwa, Kass Naidoo and Laura McGoldrick are also a part of the much-celebrated commentary panel of the tournament.

Apart from unveiling the commentary list, the ICC also confirmed that T20 World Cup coverage will feature a minimum of 28 cameras at every game.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to launch on October 3 with a Group B match between Bangladesh and Scotland Women. The match will be hosted by the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and the action will commence from 3:30 PM IST onwards.
