Pakistan skipper Babar Azam endured a poor start to the series against Afghanistan on Tuesday as he was dismissed for a three-ball duck in the 1st ODI in Hambantota, but it has had no impact on his position at the top of the table in ICC rankings for batsmen.

Babar continues to maintain a healthy lead at the top. The right-handed batsman currently has 880 rating points, 103 more than the next best, Rassie Van der Dussen (777).

His fellow teammate, and opener Imam-ul-Haq has climbed to the 3rd spot (752) following his brilliant half-century in the first ODI.

Imam scored a patient 94-ball 61 on a sluggish track to help Pakistan get past the 200-run mark.

As far as the bowling department is concerned, Afghanistan's mystery spinner Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman has moved to 3rd spot (from 6th) following his three-wicket-haul against Pakistan on Tuesday.

Pakistan's Haris Rauf, who claimed his maiden five-wicket-haul (5/18) in ODIs on Tuesday, has shot up seven places to take up the 36th spot, while Mohammad Nabi has moved from 12th to 11th after he took two wickets in his previous outing.

Speaking of T20Is, India's comeback man, Jasprit Bumrah jumped 7 spots to take up the 84th place following his brilliant performance in the first couple of T20Is against Ireland.

Wrist-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has also improved 17 places to take up the 65th spot.

India will play the 3rd and final T20I against Ireland on Wednesday, August 23.
