ICC Delegates To Again Visit Pakistan To Oversee Champions Trophy Preparations Amid PCB-BCCI Row

In a significant development, there are reports that ICC delegates will again visit Pakistan to oversee the preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. 

Notably, Pakistan will host the prestigious ICC event after a long gap, and for that, they are renovating their three stadiums to provide the best facilities. However, there is a row going over the Champions Trophy as India have refused to travel to Pakistan for the upcoming event, citing security reasons.

ICC Delegates Likely To Visit Next Week

The latest report is that the PCB is unhappy with BCCI as the latter wants a hybrid model, while the Mohsin Naqvi-led board wants the tournament to be entirely held in Pakistan. 

 Talking about the delegation visit, they are likely to visit next week, but no official conversation has taken place between PCB and ICC. The last time, the ICC delegates visited Pakistan, they were happy with the progress.

According to Geo News, ICC officials are content with the preparations, expressing confidence that the venues will be ready before the multi-nation event begins.

ICC To Hold Talks With BCCI

Further, ICC will also hold talk with BCCI regarding Champions Trophy 2025 in a day or two over their preparation for the upcoming event. Reportdly, the apex cricket council recently asked India to give written explanation behind their reason to withdraw from the tournament.

Also, the tussle between PCB and BCCI has led to a delay in release of the schedule and other teams are getting impatient as they need time to get done with the visa process. Till the row gets over, ICC has asked PCB to not make anti-India statements.
