On Thursday, November 21, bizarre scenes occurred in WBBL as the match between Perth Scorchers Women and Sydney Sixers Women ended in a draw, and even the scores were levelled in the super over. 

Regarding the match, Perth, batting first, put 126 runs on the board as Beth Mooney, who became the first WBBL player to complete 5000 runs, scored 44 (37). However, Ashleigh Gardner's four-wicket haul restricted Perth to a low total.

Gardner Concedes Three Fours In Super-Over

In reply, Sydney Sixers' captain Elyse Perry led by example and scored 67 (53). However, there was no support from the other end, Sydney too managed to put 126 runs on the board. 

In the super over, Perry again hogged the headlines and scored 12 runs to help Sydney score 15. In reply, Mikayla Hinkley replicated the same, and scores were levelled again. Notably, Garnder conceded three boundaries on the last three balls to script a epic comeback. It also elft Ellyse Perry stunned as to how did Sixers lose from that position in the match. 

No 2nd Super-Over As Teams Share A Point

Eventually, the two teams shared a point. The internet was divided as they demanded another super-over to decide the result. In contrast, others questioned going into the first super-over, if eventually, they had to share a point in case of a tied super-over.

However, there couldn't have been time for another super-over because of the start of the other match. At the time of writing this article, Melbourne Renegades women have locked horns against Hobart Hurricanes at the same Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Australia. 

Talking about the two teams, Perth are placed fourth on the table with nine points in eight games, while Sydney are 6th with eight points in nine matches.
