Led by Agha Salman, Pakistan are currently preparing for the upcoming Asia Cup edition. The Men in Green are placed in Group A and will take on Oman before crossing swords against India and the United Arab Emirates in the tournament. Ahead of their inaugural Asia Cup match, the Pakistan players sent a stern warning to their opponents during the photoshoot session.

Shaheen, Rauf, Saim, Salman Warn Pakistan's Asia Cup Rivals

In a video shared by a Pakistan cricket fanatic on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Pakistan players seem charged up to give their best in the Asia Cup.

While captain Agha Salman states that Pakistan have more than just glory at stake, prominent players like Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Saim Ayub and Haris Rauf can be seen warning the opponents about their prowess

The clip starts with ace speedster Hasan Ali's golden words, "Hum bas khelne nahi aaye hain (We aren't here just to play)", followed by Shaheen Afridi's stern message for the opponent sides. While veteran batter Fakhar Zaman challenges Pakistan's rivals for a face-off with his gestures, dynamic batter Saim Ayub oozes confidence with his swag-filled actions.

The video is most likely from the photoshoot session, which also witnessed the unveiling of Pakistan's jersey for the Asia Cup. Unlike their arch-rivals India, Pakistan have TCL and reputed beverage producing company Pepsi as their jersey sponsors for the tournament.

Pakistan's Form Before Asia Cup 2025

Under Agha Salman's leadership, Pakistan have been impressive in T20I cricket of late. After defeating Bangladesh in the home series, the Men in Green swatted aside the West Indies in their backyard. They have entered the final of the UAE T20I Tri-Series, where they will lock horns with Afghanistan at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
