The Test season is done and dusted, and India have started preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy. Recently, the Indian players underwent a rigorous net practice session after touching down upon Dubai following a hectic travel to the Gulf Nation.
Kohli, Rohit, Pandya The First Ones To Hit Nets
According to a Times Of India (TOI) report, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya were the first set of batters to hit the nets after India's routine drill session.
While Pandya focused on fine-tuning his spin-hitting prowess, Kohli and Rohit faced the fast bowlers and throw-down specialists. As the report claims, Pandya was quite aggressive with his batting approach, trying to dispatch the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja.
On the other hand, Kohli looked comfortable against the throw-downs, as he graced the nets with his trademark drives while also working on his back foot game.
It's worth mentioning that Kohli was apparently targeted around the stumps rather than the fourth-stump line deliveries, which troubled him in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma comfortably middled most of the deliveries. Having said that, he was also tested by Arshdeep Singh's incoming deliveries and some inch-perfect yorkers.
India To Face Bangladesh In Champions Trophy Opener
India are placed in group A alongside New Zealand, Bangladesh and arch-rivals Pakistan. They will take on Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh in their first match of the tournament on February 20 in Dubai.
