The wait has been over finally and the Indian cricket fans are gearing up to experience another exciting season of the Indian Premier League. The official schedule of the marquee event has come out and MI vs CSL El Classico will be played on March 23.

With a packed schedule of consecutive home and away games, Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2025 calendar is nothing short of hectic. Former Indian batter Aakash Chopra calls it "Not Understandable."

MI’s Complicated Schedule And Aakash Chopra’s Take

The year-long wait came to an end on the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to be staged on March 22. As the tournament commences, the schedule is looking complicated for the Mumbai Indians. Starting their campaign on March 23, Hardik Pandya's side will face a relentless grind, juggling between home and away games, making their journey a hectic one. While talking about this, former Indian batter Aakash Chopra raised concerns.

“Mumbai are starting with away games but they are playing every alternate game away. It's not understandable. They are repeatedly playing an away game after a home game.” he said.

“They are playing two consecutive games at home only once in the entire season, and that will take a toll. In my opinion, a very tight and tough schedule has been made. If we see it from Mumbai's point of view, they are going to find it a little difficult because travel is tough, and it gets to you beyond a point.” he pointed out at MI’s hectic schedule.

Mumbai Aims For A Bigger Comeback

IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians saw a major shift as Hardik Pandya took over from Rohit Sharma as captain. However, the change failed to turn the tide for the franchise, which has been struggling since 2021. In the last season, Mumbai Indians ended up being on the last spot of the points table with four wins and 10 defeats. With the new season on the horizon, Mumbai Indians are determined to bounce back, hoping Pandya’s leadership can reignite their ways.
