In a significant development, premier Royal Challengers Bengaluru spinner Shreyanka Patil has officially been ruled out of the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) season. The finger spinner was slated to miss the tournament due to an unfortunate injury setback. As reported earlier, Sneh Rana joins the RCB camp as her replacement.

Sneh Rana Makes Wildcard Entry Into RCB Squad For WPL 2025

It's worth mentioning that Sneh Rana, one of the most experienced Indian spinners, went unsold in the WPL auction last year. She had a base price of INR 30 lakhs. However, with Shreyanka Patil injured, the defending champions banked on Rana's experience, signing her as a replacement player.

Shreyanka Patil has been an integral member of RCB's WPL setup, scalping 19 wickets in 15 outings at an average of 18.36 and a strike rate of 12.94. So, her unfortunate injury is certainly a massive setback for the red brigade as they prepare to defend their title in the WPL 2025.

Sneh Rana's WPL Career And Stats

Sneh Rana is known for her incredible all-round attributes and has been a core member of the Indian Women's team across formats. In twelve WPL matches, Rana has scored 47 runs while picking up six wickets at an average of 52.16 and a strike rate of 34.66. These numbers are certainly sub-par as per her standards and she would like to improve her stats in the tournament.
