High Security For RCB vs PBKS IPL Match! Extra Police Deployed In Mullanpur For Qualifier 1

The league stage of IPL 2025 is done and dusted. Now, the focus shifts to the all-important playoffs stage and Mullanpur will host Qualifier 1 and Eliminator on May 29 and 30 respectively. The preparations are going in full swing, and Punjab police are leaving no stone unturned to keep the security for the game intact.

Punjab Police Ready For Smoot Conduct Of PBKS vs RCB IPL Match

The recent tensions between India and Pakistan have added an extra layer of caution in the preparation of the game, and thus Punjab police do not want to take any risk. The Qualifier 1 will see home team Punjab Kings going up against a popular RCB franchise and so, the stadium is expected to be jam-packed.

Arpit Shukla, the special DGP for Law and order in Punjab has revealed that more than 2500 personnel are deployed for the game and around 46 Gazetted officers would also monitor the situation.

"There are two very important matches at Mullanpur stadium tomorrow and day after tomorrow. There is a qualifier and an eliminator. People are coming from all corners of India. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people," Arpit Shukla, Special DGP (Law and Order), Punjab said.


"We have arranged for extensive security around the stadium and its periphery. Today, there is a review of it. Our police force is deployed around 65 Gazetted officers and more than 2,500 is deployed."

The special DGP also stated that their aim is to to make sure that no one faces any issue during the game, but confirmed that security measures will be pretty strict.

"We will ensure that those who are coming do not face any kind of trouble. On the other hand, the security measures will be very strict. Yesterday, we had a rehearsal of the mockdrill. Today also the police force is rehearsing the mock drill." 

The winner of the Qualifier 1 between PBKS and RCB will got straight into the final while the loser will play Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad.
